Individuals who are on maternity leave will continue to receive full cover providing that deductions continue to be made through Thames Valley Police payroll.
If an individual chooses to go into a period of unpaid maternity leave, then they should contact the Federation office to arrange for an alternative method of paying for the cover.
If the payments cease then cover will be lost. Individuals will be able to re-apply to join the scheme on their return to work, but medical underwriting will be required and therefore re-entry to the scheme cannot be guaranteed.
